Hello, I’m Emma
A project manager and parent, currently an expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A couple of years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Canada wasn't in the grand plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far larger.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than intended.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Morning Sky Cove
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Covers (And Excludes)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue noting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Emma
